International Day of People with Disabilities
Posted on 27 November 2012 by Make Poverty History
IDPWD is a day worth celebrating: over 1 billion people in the world live with disabilities, and each one of them has the potential to contribute enormously to their families and communities.
Unfortunately, due to discrimination and lack of support, people with disabilities are often the poorest and most marginalised in their communities. This means that IDPWD is an important day for all of us who want to make poverty history.
